This has been a known problem in Ubuntu. Default syill used the non-
existent device /dev/dsp which throws an error. If the audio device is
replaced with the word default then all is OK. Can the package be re-
built for 12.04 with a different audio default?

object. There isn't by default, so it's necessary to add:
font.color = black
