facilities. I hate having to compile and support a custom kernel

I've done some digging and although I'm not sure this will fully resolve
the issue observed, I have found a bug in lightdm.conf which could cause
the behaviour seen...

Using alt-tab to select update manager doesn't open the window either.
Even reinstalling update-manager didn't help. I used this procedure to

x64, and the update server, linked upper, give me HTTP 404 on synaptic or on

I now will probe the --no-log flag to the kernel in grub.conf, this will
probably works for me too.
I'm using multiple monitors and my mouse pointer frequently gets stuck
while moving between the monitors. It's very fustrating and irritating
behaviour.I'm guessing that there is a threshold cursor speed at
which the pointer stops if it is below it. Could you add the ability to
change this

Perhaps your printer is powerful enough also for rather awkward
PostScript. For me it looks like that the error printout is not caused
by Ghostscript sending bad PostScript but by crash bug 982675. It seems
that for some people this bug causes a crash and for others it messes up
the output.

I have also installed Release 12.04 (precise) 64-bit, Kernel Linux
3.2.0-24-generic and cannot get any CD disk to be recognized. I saw
some response on-line of a recomendation to modify the bios settings to
have the CD mounted after boot. I have a Lenovo W520 that does not have
any bios option
I'd also love to see the resampling- and bps-option for all output formats! :)
