I found a work around, and that is to force the link negotiation to
100Mbps full duplex. At 100Mbps I have no problems, and I can saturate
the full 100Mb.
But, when it auto negotiates 1Gbps, then it fails constantly.

I had luck and could boot an existing Xubuntu Precise installation
(which refuses to boot in 9 out of 10 cases) and run the apport command
there. Will now make a Quantal install, install the mainline kernel via
chroot and report back.

When installing a stock system, either virtualized or on a physical
system with Ubuntu 12.04 64bit there is no sound if the user selects
PCoIP as the default connection protocol.
If we install the ia32-libs package then sound works as intended.
