I see a similar problem running 32 bit ubuntu 12.04. I am using a 4GB
compact flash card as my root drive. When I do a dumpe2fs /dev/sda1 I
see FIlesystem state: not clean. The motherboard is zotac itx. I can

Ohh, yes... it isn't recognizing the LVM partition because it is
encrypted. This is normal. What was the underlying problem other than
grub-probe? Were you unable to grub-install?

Right now, you have to click the "Show" button to view
attachments/media. I want that to be viewable by default or a preference
for the setting. If that isn't something you really want to do in the
messages streams, it absolutely makes sense to enable in the attachment

This is a HP Elitebook 2760p. With gparted, I've removed one of the 4
(annoying) primary partitions, added one extended with some logical
drives. Unfortunately, Installer does not show the partitions, there is
a plain /dev/sda entry only. What's the matter?

give "remove media and press enter' message, but when machine re-boots
hard drive activity ceases and the machine hangs.

As #10 says, there is a negative performance impact of mounting with
discard. Personally I use fstrim in crontab instead.
