Hi, and sorry for the late reply.
I have now tried in several ways, and also tried to get help from others. But i
cannot get WiFi working in Natty with the build in open source driver.
The only way i have been able to figure out to get WiFi working in older Ubuntu
versions are using WiCd.

On Dell Alienware 14x Ubuntu 12.04 sound was working. After few weeks it
stopped working. I played around with the sound settings choosing
between the different options. I thought it would be wise to disable
sound for a while and then enable. This changes the sound settings.
Sound settings now show:
Play sound through: Dummy Output.
Above Test Sound the select list to choose between options is gone.

This is particularly annoying in conjunction with cheaper keyboards with
'ghosting' problems. Control+Super+Arrows are apparently exotic enough
that I've experienced a difficulty in using the default settings. I

Tested on quantal; tkdiff is now part of the tkcvs package, and the
tkdiff in it seems to start fine with either tk8.4 or tk8.5 (or both)
installed.
(Set Low anyway since there was an easy work around of installing the
other one).

Jockey cannot install FGLRX (AMD Graphics
Best to just move on or buy a new machine, from a lot off googling it seems
they kernel devs decided that what they were doing was the wrong approach and
the we're the casualties.
this isn't going to be fixed.
