Make sure to substitude 'quantal' for 'precise' in the 'General ddeb repository
configuration' section.
The apt-key is the same for Quantal.
For a module in linux-image, try
$ sudo stap -L 'module("parport").
Sure, add my ppa to your sources:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:psusi/ppa
Then updating your system should pull in the new packages:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
You also may need to update your initramfs for it to take effect:
sudo update-initramfs -u

Currently I have on 12.04 installed:
songbird 2.0.0-1~getdeb1 Songbird is a desktop Web player, a digital jukebox
and Web browser mash-up
but this also installs
ia32-libs 20090808ubuntu36 ia32 shared libraries - transitional package
ia32-libs-multiarch:i386 20090808ubuntu36 Multi-arch versio
I can also confirm that sudo apt-get install libc6-dbg:i386 fixed the
problem on Ubuntu 12.04

In the ubuntu community wiki for the series 9 is reported that upgrading the
BIOS to version P08AAH
would solve the problem.
Can anyone confirm this information?
In positive case, where can I find this BIOS version? All samsung sites I
visited, provide only BIOS P04AAC.
