located in GTK+ or Python GI - I would vote to just work arround the
crash.

Its no problem for me. I am currently using 3.7rc1 for quantal and it
works without problems. The bug exists for previous versions of the
kernel. Other users that have the same problem currently can easily
install that kernel version. Thanks for the help!

Well, this morning I have made a reboot of my PC, and the backup was started
automatically again as usual :-)
Better so, but really I don't know if this has to do with other recent updates,
or if this was only a temporary problem on my system.
