I have a similar problem that has existed on Kubuntu 13.04 with usb-
creator-kde. The version is 0.2.40ubuntu1 and the error when I use the

I was installing BlackBuntu x86 on my laptop. I was able to get through
all the "what keyboard do you have" etc. questions and let the live dvd
finish the install. It would get almost to the end and then give the the
"installer crashed" popup and told me to give the \var\log\s
It makes sense to have all those scripts in the same package. Also, that
scripts isn't necessarily apparmor-specific, even though it's the only
thing supported at this time.
The script is a no-op when apparmor isn't there, so there's no problem
having it on a system without apparmor.

I can confirm that this issue still exists on Ubuntu 12.04.1 (32-bit)
and affects fglrx versions >8.950 (Catalyst >12.2) on AGP systems. The
issue is also present on the most recent Catalyst 13.1-legacy. I tested
this on a VIA KT400 chipset, so the issue is not exclusive to
nforce2-based systems.
