Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.10 kernel[0].
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.
If the mainline kernel does not fix
The reason why this was introduced was that new users should be able to better
observe where applications are minimized to...
So animation duration is much longer for new users and shortens over time...

I have an identical kernel panic stack trace as seen by Tevor Little
above. I am also using a USA-19hs Keyspan serial to USB device.
I am not attempting to use ppp, or a dial up modem, or anything of that
sort. I am simply trying to read serial data be sent from the Keyspan
device. Not sure
This bug was fixed in the package apport - 2.10.1-0ubuntu1
