For me it happens only when I log into another machine via ssh and start byobu
there. After hide/restore of tilda, the session is gone.
Another weird thing: On my other Ubuntu 13.04 system, tilda works without
issues. Could it be related

So far the only solution I've found that actually works properly is to
downgrade to 12.04. I downgraded, followed this page:

crazy dropped connections etc. I still
without any other changes

The mount(8) from upstream git tree uses MS_SILENT so the warnings
should not be visible any more. If you want to use whitelist then use
/etc/filesystems ... see man page. Note that the current upstream stable
release is 2.23.
