I applied the latest v3.10 kernel that you linked to in comment #4.
That appears to fix the kernel oops problem.
I was able to run the command:

Without a kernel Oops problem.
So I believe the problem is fixed upstream.

Title:
Public bug reported:
I have tried using an 13.04 x64 live DVD to run Ubuntu on a Dell XPS 18,
and the touchscreen is not responsive.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04
Package: linux-image-3.8.0-19-generic 3.8.0-19.29
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-19.29-generic 3.8.8
Uname: Linux
I can still reproduce (in 4.0.2.1 (Build ID:
7e5467ff8f30d821f4fbf69cb2769163eb64c2c)) the problem I was having in
#58509 and it doesn't relate to deleting, but editing conditional
formatting.
Would it be better if I reopen this bug too?

Isolating and back-porting (if possible) the conditional formatting code
to 3.6 seems unlikely to happen before the last 3.6 release (3.6.7), but
if some developer wants to
I'm affected too
