Updating the BIOS on my X201s seems to have reduced the system
temperature. Not sure why since the changelog for 1.40-1.15 only says
Embedded Controller update will modify battery charge algorithms to
balance battery charging and lifespan.
Have you tried these patches yourself?
I'll investigate them during the end of this week and build a kernel for
testing.

Yes. I have tested all of them. I am not certain the authors of the
patches agree they are the definitive solution tho. I will try to find
out their opinion on including them in a release. J

Same problem here. I've been observing this bug ever since Unity was
introduced. Even reported it once, but can't find my bug report now. My current
system: Ubuntu 13.04 64-bit with NVIDIA proprietory drivers v. 313-updates.
See attached screenshot.

You received this bug notification because
Yes, please. There should be a .log file and a couple .json files but
there shouldn't really be any reason that these should be causing
crashes. There already was a case of crashes that I resolved by catching
a previously uncaught exception under certain (rare) conditions. Even
still, this
I think I have found a fix.
The bug does not happen only with invalid UTF-8 filenames, you simply
need UTF-8 filenames and a UTF-8 locale.
For example, in collections.py:810, there is:
log.Debug(_(File %s is not part of a known set; creating new
set) % (filename,))
