OK, good (?) news. I was able to load the v3.12-saucy kernel without
using recovery mode by adding the nomodeset boot parameter (not sure
why that gets past the Loading initial ramdisk hang). I almost
immediately got the same kernel panic as seen in 3.11.0-14. Therefore

and got my 3rd screen working out of the box with a Trendnet TU2-DVIV (v2.0R)
USB-to-VGA
As far as I can recall, the answer is No. With a different ubuntu
version, the card was not even recognized. I do not recall that the
ethernet card ever worked perfectly (with wol). I could test recent
versions of ubuntu with live CDs, though, if this information is
important.

I instaled bumblebee-nvidia for Optimus support in my Asus laptop and
bbswitch-dkms causes forced shutdown, even if I reboot system. My HDD
makes a loud noise, It is as if the power went out, the forced shutdown
is very violent (there is not plymouth shutdown
OK, I tried booting again and this time got the original crash. So it
looks like it is present in v3.13-rc3 as well.

unfortunately Me too! comments are not terribly helpful
That's why I actually did ubuntu-bug linux as you suggested and found
out what it collects. I'll try to filter out unwanted data. If it won't
work, please forgive me Me too! attitude, it was completely

I think this is really a request for apport, which shows the error
dialog, instead of Whoopsie, which if I understand it correctly just
uploads anything dumped in /var/crash to daisy.ubuntu.com. It's quite a
neat system, and I may find these crash reports in /var/crash useful now
that I know how
