I have the same problem on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr.
Not sure this is a bug, though, just a M$ Windows-only feature as it's a
TCP/IP extended property. The man page for OpenVPN describes --dhcp-
option as a Windows-specific option.
If the OpenVPN server pushes a DNS server address to the client

I only got the problem resolved by reinstalling the proprietary Catalyst
package for the 4250 [4000 series] from AMD's website. Once I did that,
I waited till recently to update the 12.04's v23 kernel to v64, left the
Catalyst alone, no further problems. I am waiting impatiently for the
14.04

This is on Lubuntu 14.04. My system has 2 desktop users who may both be
logged in. I use the switch user option on the Logout popup to switch
between these users. I don't recall exactly how I created the 2nd user,
maybe used useradd -m. They do not have the same groups.

overwritten (I do not know from where or how) and needs to be added
again before galternatives is useful. Trusty is LTS and if the issue
isn't fixed, then you might as well remove from Trusty completely.

That commit does not appear to have fixed our problem.
we took the 3.13.0-29 #53 kernel source, applied the patch above, and
deployed to our environment. We are seeing the same behavior with this
patch.
We are currently setting up a parallel test environment, as well as
building a precise image

Public bug reported:
avahi-browse -a reports a number of services but then hangs. If this
is normal behavior, it is not documented in the man page...
