Ubuntu 14.04 is based on the upstream 3.13 kernel. The radeon.audio=1
kernel boot option will no longer be necessary with this kernel.
Instead, HDMI audio on ATI/AMD Radeon cards can be enabled and disabled
on the fly by typing the following in a terminal window:

Fortunately the proposed workaround to disable USB3.0 in the BIOS settings
helped to get around this.

Hi,
I have got this issue too with my personal account.
In Ubuntu 14.04 I have seen that in the application "Passwords and Keys" there
are 2 entries called "Ubuntu Web Account: id...".
These 2 entries are created in parallel when I create a new account for my
Google online account.
One of these
I confirm, like Jeff Wilson, that I had the same issue with 3.13 and got
resolved with 3.14.1.
I cannot right now test the kernel suggested in #46.
