Now the typed text isn't echoed on the side of the screen anymore, but I

The first time a secondary display/projector is connected to my laptop,
it is detected and works in mirrored mode. However, once I open System
Settings > Displays, the seconday display gets disabled. Loging out and
rebooting doesn't solve the problem. At least not right away.
I tested against v3.18-rc2-utopic as am trying Utopic install.
I have to test out 3.18-rc1 . Unfortunately since i test it out on what
is my main dev laptop as do not have another machine to test on, it
takes sometime in between. Will let you know soon.

don't have anything in /proc/fb. I wouldn't expect this to change as a

Is this reproducible with either 14.10 or vivid? This is not an
actionable bug in Ubuntu if it's only reproducible with a ppa-sourced
plymouth package.
