I encountered the same problem and solved it. I have tried a number of
things, so I am not 100% sure which one it is that solved it. If I were
to do it all from scratch again, this is my suggestion for
troubleshooting the problem:
1. look at /var/log/mysql/error.log for lines with the [ERROR] ta
Potential solutions to the bug report:
(1) The lazy solution: this report will be marked as invalid, because the
problem is not in the package but in the user's configuration file
(2) The smart solution: a parser to check the user's configuration file and
issue warnings for deprecated configurat
Confirmed this issue with Ubuntu 14.10, trying to create a USB disk with
Clonezilla. Is there any known workaround for this issue, or
downgrade/upgrade that fixes it?

The problem is that you can't have both the 8bit and the 10bit
libx264.so loaded into the same process becaus
Removing upower seems to fix the problem, but xfce4-power-manager
depends on upower so you lose the ability to hibernate by closing the

This is back again in 14.04. Gnash is not found by Dash. There is a
desktop file in /usr/share/applications. Copy of file is attached.
Running gnash-gtk-launcher (Exec parameter in desktop file) in Terminal
works OK.

Upgrading to 14.10 did not fix it for me.
This is not a bug in light-locker, I removed the package from my system
and it has not helped.
Post #32 workaround brings back the mouse cursor.

Even when the package is going to be dropped in the next Ubuntu release
the bug still needs to be fixed for the Trusty release, where the
package will continue being the same till April 2017.

scaling_min_freq wrong on Intel Core i{5,7}
Addition: the CPU temperature never goes above 80C when this happens and
I don't think the GPU temperature is a problem, I think the driver or
GPU itself will slow down if it gets too hot (but I could be wrong).
