it's way into Vivid when it gets the 3.19.7 updates, which will probably
occur in Ubuntu version: 3.19.0-18.

Hi, I'm having the same issue on a Lenovo G510.
A workaround (at least for me) is to disable NetworkManager quickly after
booting, then it won't freeze.
After that, remove bcmwl-kernel-source and the problem won't happen with
brcmsmac, I can re-enable NetworkManager safely.

Thanks, that sort of the same issue than bug #1351534. We could add a
settings but we don't have a service to use for that at the moment.
There is work ongoing to add NITZ support, once that's in place the
settings option can be enabled

I guess the model for scope should be similar than the ones for apps:
when installed, if the scope tries to reach the network for the first
time, then we get the "allow to acess the network. You set
it to yes and no. Similar behavior if the scope wants to access the GPS

Thank you Stephane for your PPA! I installed 14.04 expecting LXC to just
work, found that it didn't, somehow found this page, installed your PPA
and the updated utilities and it now appears to be working perfectly! I
only wish it would work out of the box in an LTS release.
