Had the same problem on 15.04. I manually add the route but in 15.04 NM
seems to be changed and no longer works. What I did instead is to add
the manual route normally but changed the gateway (routes -> gateway) to
0.0.0.0 , that worked for me. I hope it can help you too. Additionally,

add a systemd unit and a .socket unit for it to avoid that race, and
having to poll for the socket. But this should be tracked somewhere,

I actually wonder why we still need all this Ubuntu delta around making
fusermount suid root. The Debian way with using statoverride seems
cleaner to me, as you can actually change it locally if you want. This
would get us rid of most of the remaining delta, except for adding
ulockmgr_server to the
