A note to clarify expectations on an UEFI system.
If the installer boots in UEFI mode the installer detects this through
the presence of the EFI variables node in the sysfs at
/sys/firmware/efi/vars. In this case the grub-efi package and its
dependencies is selected, installed, and configured.

strange happens, if enabling the wlan1 interface with the network-
manager gui: The kernel variable /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/wlan1/hop_limit
Disabling WebGL is one thing, but disabling hardware acceleration
altogether causes horrible tearing with each and every driver. All

I have a HP 255 G3 Laptop AMD A4-5000 4GB RAM 1TB HDD 15.6 DVDRW Ubuntu
12.04. Upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Touchpad stopped working.
Removing synaptics-touchpad resolved the problem. Everything now works.
Left click, right click, tap to click and two finger scrolling.

OK, Christopher, below are the results after removing radeon.dpm=1 and
radeon.audio=0.

Thanks Tasos for this additional feedback.
It is certainly not a good thing that zeitgeist-daemon needs to be
started during build which of course can cause issues as in your case.
Something I have noticed in the past as well. I now split integration
tests where Zeitgeist is needed and unit tests
