I experience this problem running Freya on an intel graphics stack.
However, I use the Scratch text editor a lot. It is configured to "hide
the cursor while typing." If I type a little bit in the text editor to
hide the cursor, the next time I move the cursor, it reappears as
normal.

I'm sorry, I don't know how to proceed with this issue.
Early on, you asked for Verbose Logging from Virtualbox. I supplied the
Machine Log for the failing Guest and I knew Verbose was probably Defaulted
to Off.
Since then, I have found the commands to change the running machine

I also created an upstream bug report against the Tango icon theme,
mainly to get more eyes on the problem. Honestly, though, I don't expect
every icon theme developer will want to to modify their software in
order to compensate for something that was broken by an Ubuntu-specific
patch.

I have this problem after replacing my HDD with new SDD. Since than,
everything is much faster but it wont't power off.

Turns out it is not that the list is inconsistant, but that the linux-
lts-trusty is not split at all, leading to a guarenteed upgrade issue.

Libre Base works great in standard ubuntu 15.04
However a fresh installation on a Lubuntu 15.4 both via synaptic and
again terminal failed to install the full LibreOffice base package
ie. sudo apt-get install libreoffice
and aptitude install
Following a discussion on August 24th 2015 in #ubuntu-release with Iain Lane,
Didier Roche, Oliver Grawert syncing MATE 1.10 packages from Debian unstable
have been approved because:
* These package syncs will only affect Ubuntu MATE.
* There is currently a mix of MATE 1.8 and MATE 1.10
This is still an issue in r25.
How can I provide more information?
