Ok this made the trick for me. Usually, when you install any new browser these
values are overriden, and you have to set them again.
Maybe it would be a good idea if these values were automatically updated when
you change your default browser using "settings > preferred applications".

Given the new locale dependent configuration for the CJKV languages, I
chose to use "xim" instead of "cjkv" in the patch. This way the
variables don't end up empty.
I have also committed the corresponding changes to language-selector.

I believe the problem is mixing windowed mode with multiple screens
available. OTOH this was an on-purpose implementation for the desktop
use case. I think we're missing some design input on what should happen
in such scenarios.
