This option only effects how your Ubuntu system is booted. When
detecting other operating systems, whatever boot method their grub
config uses will be reused. In other words, if debian is booting using
a UUID, Ubuntu will also boot it using that UUID.

Got the following message when removing a failed installation of
draftsight.
(synaptic:1936): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_child_watch_add_full: assertion
'pid > 0' failed
Doesn't seem to have any serious consequences but i thought it best to
report it.
