aren't helping here. But if there's a Qt aspect to the bug - for example
the network not being broken elsewhere but just store results not
working when switching between connections - it could be now fixed as Qt

Ok, I managed to recover the system through synaptic.
I eliminated the package that was left of the "fglrx" and pulled out
completely the "snort".
My system usually updated without the lock that was being caused by "snort" and
the "fglrx" remnant.
The thing that strikes me at the moment
Looks like the culprit is line 37 of debian/rules, in the
override_dh_auto_install block:

interesting thing is, OSK was working even with HDMI connected, the OSK

3.13.0-66, was ok in 3.13.0-68, and stopped in 3.13.0-71 and all others
after that including 3.13.0-77.
It woud seem that what ever bug was introduced in 3.13.0-66 and fixed in
3.13.0-68 and then regressed in 3.13.0-71 needs

Linux now supports emulation of three deprecated ARMv7 features that
were removed from ARMv8: SWP(B), CP15ISB/DSB/DMB, and SETEND. At least
CP15DMB is used by some armhf archive binaries (notably pandoc), so we
need emulation enabled on the kernels that scalingstack uses.

I'm having the same problem on Kontact 5.1.1. For every filtered mail I
