The issue is when you have so many messages to delete in the same time.
I already saw this bug. The partial solution is to select some messages
and delete the, reselect some messages and delete them. Until the full

Thanks again for the rapid feedback. It's nice to know that I jumped to
an unreasonable conclusion.
Now that I know to kill the fwupd process I've made more progress
testing the failure modes but still find some lacking:
- Removing /etc/pki/fwupd or /etc/pki/fwupd-metadata results in nice
error
Here's the other miscellaneous notes I've made so far:
- fu_keyring_setup() doesn't use gpgme_release() on gpg_set_protocol()
failure
- fu_main_daemon_update_metadata() checks signature over an entire file
but uses g_strndup() to copy it in memory; a file may use an embedded
ASCII NUL to

I can reproduce this.
Start with screen blanked.
Cover top of phone with something., so it covers the proximity sensor.
Call that phone from another one.
While it is ringing, lift the cover off the proximity sensor.
See that screen stays blanked and only way to unblank it is to push
button.

Just checked 20190329 amd64 and all still seems well other than some
unrelated and known installer bugs :^)
I did produce a journal.log so I'm attaching that. I see a number of
"Error retrieving chunk extents: Operation not supported" but I'm unsure
what any of those really mean. Is it possible

Yeah, remove the nvidia binary drivers and this will likely work. We're
not going to have a release that works with the nvidia binary drivers in
the immediate future :)
