I'm pretty sure that if you do a manual install and configure the ESP to
be one, it will set the boot flag. The issue here seems to be doing a
side by side install on an existing system that has an existing ESP, but
it is not marked as such. There isn't really anything we can do about
that.

I had this problem as well, and adding the
"HandleLidSwitchDocked=suspend" fixed it. Why would Ubuntu think that
the laptop is docked 24/7?

True that static NUMA placement would work (well, it would if this was

Anyone looking for a manual "fix" I went and installed the jdk-
headerless which works fine. The I downloaded the jdk .deb file and
installed using dpkg with the --force all option. It seem to take care
of the install problem. I am not a big java user but if anyone needs me
to check it out further
