@njmcphail Thanks for sharing your input over on github. Hopefully
paroj's new fix[1] works better!
I won't be able to test it out until next weekend but I thought I'd
mention its existence here so the ubuntu guys can add it (since they
backported the the regression in #1564901)
[1]:
I'm not sure what other debugging info I can add then to help find the
cause.

title/menu bars for LibreOffice, gedit, evolution, document viewer,
(probably others) but I do have it for Firefox web browser. This is
for my SamSung laptop. I have a smaller Acer Aspire One and the
title/menu bar works fine

I would like to remove all scopes that non-use; like Amazon, Ebay,
Yahoo! Finance, Shopping, Yelp...
They are more scopes and apps that after uninstall by Ubuntu Store
continue to appear in Permy app, like: BBC, BBC-Sport,

Fair enough. I've unmarked it as a duplicate.
Technically, yes, this bug is about the error message, although the
"WORKAROUND" in the description is a bit of a misnomer, since it focuses
on resolving the issue that resulted in the error.
Updating the copy should be easy enough; I can tackle that
** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 798414
update-initramfs should produce a more helpful error when there isn't enough
