No, that's not a workaround. Bug appeared again after several hibernate-resume
cycles.
I never seen this bug with xubuntu 15.10, kernel 4.5 from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and latest Intel graphics from
01.org. But it appeared after installing 16.04.

I've just flashed clean images of OTA-11 from the stable channel onto a
BQ Aquaris E4.5 (krillin) and a Nexus 4 (mako). In both cases the phones
can see the wifi networks but can't connect to any of them any more.
The wifi networks continue to work for non-Ubuntu devices.
This looks like what is expected to happen when you try and run a Qt
application with no X server available... Qt prints a message and
aborts. Not sure what else we're supposed to do in that case.
