Public bug reported:
Not sure it is wise to run a compilation step when the gcc and libstdc++
is in a precarious state. I believe this is the root cause of the
problem.
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: sa-compile 3.4.1-3
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-31.50-generic 4.
It's not just gcc that has mismatching versions. It's the whole
toolchain.
The installed gcc package (according to dpkg) has version
4:5.3.1-1ubuntu1 while the /usr/bin/gcc symlink contained within is
pointing to gcc-5.4.0. There is no trace of 5.3.1 binaries on the
system, nor are there any avail
Can you explain which part fails?
"ifupdown fails to set the device's mtu, which causes its attempt to set
the ipv6 mtu to fail"
This is the change that drove the use of sysctl to set mtu:

A bare pivot_root rule would be acceptable to add to the unconfined
template. We probably wouldn't want to add a bare change_profile rule to
the template but could possibly add a set of rules that allow
change_profile to anything except for "unconfined".
Another option would be to create a new tem

Public bug reported:
Per discussion on IRC, in order to support the Libertine Manager UI
click package, we would need the "pivot_root" and "change_profile"
exceptions added to the unconfined template in order for it to work.
