well, revision 48 must be from very early days (we are at 408 currently)
sadly the store doesnt allow me to get to the upload of revision 48
anymore (trying to open the page times out permanently) but i would
suggest to do a full reset of the setup to get some more recent ubuntu-
core version.

I've just tried with some different media and it's still not working.
However i also tried with a fresh install of ubuntu mate into a vmware machine
and that is working fine - so very odd.
