After yesterdays kernel update I tried my luck if something has changed.
And it's working now. Kernel 4.4.0-53-generic and nvidia-367 drivers. Both
nvidia performance mode and intel power saving mode are working.
I tried also for the previous kernel version 4.4.0-51-generic and only
nvidia

It looks like there are exactly three crash reports, all from the same
machine and person, on armhf only (probably a Raspberry Pi running
Ubuntu MATE?), and all within four days of each other. We have had no
reports since, so I don't think we have any evidence that this
represents a wider problem

False alarm. This only seems to be failing on the zesty armhf build (not
amd64). On the armhf builder it looks like the mock is not starting up
quick enough (slow builder), so the tests just go on to use the system
signon service instead.

the test is wrong and it was working by accident. :-)

/lib/systemd/system/snapd.refresh.service. I changed the line
After=network.target snapd.firstboot.service snapd.socket

After=network-online.target snapd.firstboot.service snapd.socket
Now the service is started, when the network is really online.
