BTW, I'm seeing this same bug (same symptom at least; the exact same
call stack in the kernel panic) and I'm *not* using docker. The main
workload on the machine where I'm seeing this is Postgres.

For what ever reason this requires reinstalling kmail and then doing the
upgrades along with sudo apt dist-upgrade to complete.

So we certainly agree that the lxdbr0 configuration experience isn't
exactly great on 16.04.
This is caused by the fact that the bridge is configured as part of
Ubuntu packaging instead of through LXD itself and so uses debconf
dialogs which come with a bunch of limitations.
In recent LXD, networ
Marking as "Fix released" since this has been cleanly resolved in more
recent LXD releases.
We can't backport this particular feature to the LTS branch due to how
complex it is and the very high risk of causing regressions (users
upgrading to 2.4 didn't exactly have a smooth ride).

@skgary, as for `1`, as I've said, just do:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-304=304.134-0ubuntu0.16.10.1
Or:
sudo apt-get install nvidia-304
(it'll do the same as 304.134-0ubuntu0.16.10.1 is the newest version
available to you).

@skgary, so, after you upgraded to 16.10, you now have two ways:
1. Either to install the newest version (134) from PPA. It's ok to try
it. (Although, you said it doesn't work for you? Or it's just because
wrong command line?)
2. Or to try quite dirty way of installing packages-for-16.04 into you

I now added transitional packages for this to derby so that we can
upgrade sun-javadb users to something that is maintained.

So, drop the source package sun-javadb only. sun-javadb has no reverse

Yes, I had a momentary brain glitch. 1.5x is a better place to put the
sudden jump in size than 2x, so yes, your patch is a good improvement,
and with both patches I think we'll have a good solution.
