My laptop is an ASUS X555L and I have a wireless card RTL8821AE.
After a few minutes it hangs and doesn't let me surf internet although it shows

I activated the dynamic debugging for readdir.c as Nish Aravamudan suggested.
However this does not produce any output in the kernel log since (as I
understand) most of the debug logging (cifs_dbg) is of type FYI which must be
activated seperately in the code by setting cifsFYI (in
Verifying 2.20.1+16.10 in -proposed for Yakkety, I have confirmed that
the following work:
install of offline snap file
install of store snap via commandline
install of store snap via software center
removal of installed snap via commandline
removal of snap via software center

WN821N, shipped with a rtl8192cu chipset.

Forgot to mention,
All tests in a Debian jessie box with with kernel 4.7.8 from Debian
jessie backports (source package linux_4.7.8-1~bpo8+1.dsc). Not Ubuntu,
but should also be useful for Ubuntu.

Hello.
This issue is really annoying and critical. Phone does not ring when I
should receive a call. Caller gets message that I am not reachable.
Later I receive message that someone tried to call me. It is very easy
to replicate. I made three calls to my phone, second time my phone did
not ring
Just for sure, bug 1505012 may be related to *this issue, but in my case
I miss calls to my SIM card in second slot, which uses 2G.
