Temporary workaround is installing lightdm to get a logon screen and
switch back to gdm3 when this bug is fixed.
I am also waiting on this bug to be fixed. I had this problem also a
couple of years back.
sudo apt install lightdm
sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm
Then choose lightdm. Now you can use
I expect I got the kernel the same way I get most of my kernels, though
an `apt-get upgrade`. Although I did try and compile a kernel a while
ago... I wonder if that got left around as an install option and it was
so long since I last rebooted I forgot about it!
Now isn't that a silly thing to do
Update: PiTiVi hangs on MP4 and avi. For matroska works OK.

The fix is already in xenial (see above). Chris is asking for trusty
testing. Similarly I don't run trusty :)
Surely whoever requested this for trusty should be able to test it? Is
there such a person?

Yes, I did it with sudo make install. Of course I modified the makefile,
so I could use the make install command. I tried it yesterday again with
the same result. Is the source for the rtbt available?

Hi paelzer,
Is the merge of a newer multipath-tools=6.3 for Zesty done? I saw the
link [1] said 'MIR is done', but I did not see any update in the link
[2].
I am tracking the current status of SRU work for Xenial because this
issue is urgent for us, can I have an estimate about when it will start
checking unity8's code again, I am very confident this happens in lower
layers, likely miral.

Unfortunately, I don't have the kvm anymore to gather any additional

However, Akonadi 16.12, which we intend to ship with zesty, on a rebuild
against Qt 5.7.1 successfully builds and installs the sqlite backend
library.
The sqlite/postgresql backend are also more or less depreciated
