Given that Debian has already applied the patch which eliminates the
distinction between tabs & spaces, there doesn't seem a lot of point in
keeping a different patch in place. Best to apply the patch as is, and
deal with the issue of augmenting the list separately, if necessary.

I failed to run on new kernel - I tried to run linux-

and it just hangs.
I also tried to remove nvidia module and failed.

Tried this (a mix of above workarounds) and it worked for the first use
of the SD card reader, but if remove the card and put it in again, it
isn't recognized. I must do this workaround one more time to make sd

Added to the Debian bug report. Basically the output problem is related to a
Debian add-on patch to introduce the -q# option (delayed exit) which has been
incorrectly adapted to the new code.
However while testing a possible solution I found that upstream changed the
default behaviour of nc to n
I am experiencing the same issue as well. Are there any known
workarounds for now, before it's fixed?
