This only seems to happen after the computer has suspended and resumed,
but then remains until a full reboot has been performed. I have this on
two computers, although they do have identical hardware specs (bar
memory and different make graphics cards with the same GPU).

This bug has now stopped me from installing Lubuntu 17.04 beta 2 and
both Cinnamon and LXDE version of Linux Mint 16.10. I have not tried to
change the partition settings manually, because that's too technical for
me. The interesting thing is that Deepin 15.3 installed and booted with
no issues.
