I have made a small change to the patch of comment #6.
I've added initialization of the malloc()ed pmapent variable.
While that wasn't a problem it can be on some architectures.

@nrbrtx: As noted in #329, the shortcuts for Super+A/F/M/C/V indeed do
not work on Unity.
However, the shortcuts for Super+S/W actually work. This means that the
functionality is there to make Super+A/F/M/C/V work as well. See the

Dear Seth Arnold,
You are welcome, and if I can help troubleshoot the fix, please let me
know. I have been around since Burroughs R4K and CPM-DOS 1.0, just as an
operator, but a pretty fair hand (I can follow directions about 98% of

It's clear from the snippet you pasted that you have PPA packages that are
causing some kind of conflicts with packages from the main archive, so this is
not a valid bug.
Besides, I can install libopencv-contrib2.4 and libopencv-objdetect2.4 just
fine in a vivid chroot.
** Changed in: opencv
At the very least we would need the distribution version, and we kneed
to know where you found that package version that is not present in any
ubuntu release (vivid has 2.4.9+dfsg-1ubuntu4 and wily has
2.4.9.1+dfsg-1.5ubuntu1).
