After some more testing that seems to be an upstream openjdk issue as

Reason why it did only show up in debian/ubuntu builds is the patch:
disable-doclint-by-default.diff.
which defaults javadoc to -Xdoclint:none to avoid

Yeah it does go to sleep after no use with those settings activated. It's
supposed to disappear from fwupd as a result too so I expected a different

I tried to install ubuntu many times but it always fails with error
number 5 input output error
The installation was done via USB stick prepared with Startup Disk
Creator. I tried also with unetbootin, same error.
I tried again formatting the host hard disk via gparted
