I cannot get my apt system to work again. I tried adding the bionic-
proposed repository as indicated in the link (above), but when I try the
'sudo apt --fix-broken install', it still wants to install the broken
libgles1 and libglvnd-dev packages, which fail (as before).

I use a post-installation script for Ubuntu that installs several
packages. This script installed "unity-tweak-tool" and "indicator-
multiload" that have as dependency several Unity and indicators
packages. After I removed those two packages, all the unused

Public bug reported:
Upgrade went fine. Rebooted. Got to login screen. Entered login. Screen went
blank like it was going to log me in. Screen came back and asked me to log in
again. And so on. Rebooted. Selected 4.18 recovery options. fsck ran fine. dpkg
reported PYTHON corruption. Rebooted.
7 years later... i now use linux mint without any bug.
