you find this to be an issue in your case then you have a different problem
than me. However, I tried with editor and retried posting user name and
password a lot of times - always with correct
When I switched over to Ubuntu 18.04 I also switched hardware to a much
faster one. So really that can be the reason why I did not have the
problem earlier.
I was not aware of the fact that there is such a thing like the {DELAY
500} autotype command. This is fully sufficient for me!

I think it has something to do with the add and remove of additional DP4
to DP6 connectors (udev reports this). This seems to trigger something
I've been really happy with Ubuntu for ten years, but this particular situation
is making me scratch my head. Might want to get Mark's input here -- is Ubuntu
intended to be a
curated ecosystem that works well as a platform for both proprietary and open
source software?

I'm able to launch/boot bionic/arm64 guests in disco, but not xenial. I took a
look as to why, and it appears that we are using the wrong base image. arm64
requires UEFI images.

Could you please test the following:
- boot with CSM disabled
- run sudo mokutil --set-verbosity true
- reboot to the firmware and enable CSM
- boot Ubuntu
- report here any messages that appear on the console at boot time (take a
picture and upload, or transcribe, etc)
After this, you can run
Advice from @cyphermox is to actually record the screen rather than
taking a picture, in case the messages appear/disappear quickly.

Hi Guys,
I'm suffering this same problem on Surface Pro 2017 and would really
like to find a solution as using Linux is the only option for me to not
throw it out through the window as it has a corrupted memory an so can
only use Linux which allows me to skip the affected area using memmap.

build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/ubuntu-release-upgrader/1:18.10.11.1 in a few hours, and then in the
-proposed repository.
Please help us by testing
