Related to bug 1580588 - there seems to have been some discussion in the
past about the dns_domain attribute of a network being used for external
DNS integration only.
The changes that form part of the fix for this bug make that boundary
less clear and its possible to end up with inconsistency
As of 2019, using Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS, this bug is still alive... When I
invoke Xrandr the cursor disappears and I have to Alt-Ctrl-F1 and then
Alt-Ctrl-F7 to make the cursor re-appear again. I'm using a relatively
new BIOSTAR A68N-5600 motherboard newly bought in 2018.

broken the contract on the dns_domain of a network being used for
external DNS integration only.

I would imagine that the currently shipped API key of "geoclue" is some
kind of universal default. Now that the use of keys is apparently being
monitored and limited, perhaps it would be possible for Ubuntu to
register its own key, and then ship that with this package?

This commit:

has somewhat complicated this problem as the dns_domain set on the
network now might get used in some parts of the configuration of the
dnsmasq instance for a network.
This becomes inconsistent as a dns_assignment record is
