It looks as if the screen is not refreshed when needed. Examples:
- clicking a link in a browser
- typing commands in Konsole

The bug is easy to reproduce. Connect an external HDD, make sure it is
mounted, then right click its icon in Caja's left panel and select
"Safely remove". Ten seconds later Caja will close,and apport will pop
its usual window. There are .crash files in /var/crash, and I'll add

the mouse problem persists for intel braswell. xdotool reveals that X
reports a vertical position of zero, even when the mouse is painted with

Kerberos now works in ubuntu 18.04.
