I've been having this issue since I got my Dell Latitude E7470 Ultrabook.
I have Ubuntu 18.04.4 installed and with each new version of Ubuntu I hoped
this will be fixed. It's not!

I've tested smoe more cmbinations and found that I van have v4.2 work on focal.
Eventually I have realized that when I install start the qemu from Ubuntu not
only that but also the formerly working build of v4.2.0 from git start to fail

I was able to fix it by downloading the BCM.hcd file for my driver then
running on the terminal the following:
make the directory mutable
sudo chattr -i /lib/firmware/brcm
copy the .hcd file in directory
sudo cp /home/user/BCM.hcd /lib/firmware/brcm
then undo mutablity changes in directory

After a leave my computer on idle and try to put my password to login the
screen starts to blink whenever I click on the screen. The workaround I found
is to click on the switch user button to log back in but some windows are
closed on this
So I tried removing the line, which worked, but introduced another
problem: I can't access the APs, no matter which password I provide.

Today's 20.04 Budgie daily image (20200318) recognized "s" during media
check during the small-file checks. (I think the large file check isn't
responsive to that key press. But, all the *buntu flavors act that
way.).

I also verified 18.04-hwe 5.3.0-42-generic #34~18.04.1-Ubuntu fixes this
issue ( 5.3.0-40-generic #32~18.04.1-Ubuntu still has this issue).
Verified on d06-1.

Update: I installed Budgie 20200318. It didn't have this problem
reported with the 20200317. (I also installed Mate 20200318. It didn't
have a problem. Confirming Bill's comment.). It seems like this was a
one-day glitch. It's gone.
