Fix A yellow screen pops up in an instant (< 1 second) and then
Flickering and a lack of smoothness are two different issues. The lack
of smoothness would just be due to your GPU staying at a lower frequency
more often, so it's not a bug but something you would need to tune
yourself.
As for the flickering, please edit /etc/default/grub and change:

To be fair, "your system is too slow" really means the architecture of

root:root and set the mod-flags to disable writing.
Once I open a new file with nautilus, the owner got changed back to
user:user and mod-flags back to defaults, i.e. an unattended change with

I am currently using a fresh install of Linux Mint 20.2 Uma. Previously using
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and pan ran with no issues. Now in Mint when trying to filter
articles it seg faults as soon as I start to type in the filter box. The

When I ran Giara for the first time, it gave a button for logging in,
which opened a Reddit login confirmation for Giara in my default
browser, Firefox. After confirming that, Firefox asked me to open a
link in Giara. That failed, with Giara printing:
