update the machine boots to a blank screen. There are occasional
purplish flickers that seem to correspond with keypresses, but even
blindly typing the encrypted disk password doesn't appear to advance
Ec2 SRU tests of 22.1 from jenkins (bionic/focal/jammy) asserting success with
the proposed package
manual tests for ec2 impish proposed attached as well. Two flaky tests which
succeeded on supplemental run.

1. revert Matthias' change from debhelper/13.3.4ubuntu1 (2021-03-19) that make
use of debugedit (honestly I don't even understand *why* he did that)
2. backport debugedit too (honestly I don't remember if that would be enough to
make it build on i386,

that's hardly the reason that debhelper/focal-backports is uninstallable
on i386.
Remember that Multi-Arch fields are used for multi-arch installations,
that are irrelevant for things like native builds, and are totally
unused in buildds and such.
