This means we are very well aware of the issue.
Also, notice that this package does not contain an ubuntu suffix. This
means the package is directly sync'd
I can confirm this. I have no problem launching the KDE Wayland Session
under Intel graphics, but switching my system to the dGPU (Nvidia
graphics) causes the entire session to crash and several processes hang.

I just rechecked the behavior of Xubuntu 20.04.0 LTS. That LiveDVD
installer disk stayed in graphics mode as it shut down. There was an
Xubuntu logo in the middle of the screen, and the text displayed at the
bottom of the screen.
Contrasting with Xubuntu 22.04 on the same exact system, the LiveDVD
I just installed another round of new Jammy updates on the laptop where
gnome-extensions-app was crashing, and it's not crashing anymore. I
don't know if it's the installing of the updates that fixed this or if
it's an intermittent issue and just not happening at the moment. Hard to
tell since no c

I can now see that the dmesg command - starting with Ubuntu 21.10 - is NOT
meant to work for the users in "adm" group. It is now meant to be run as admin
or with sudo. This is a security decision.
