It looks like WD BEVT-series was not mentioned here and the kernel.org is still

I just noticed huge Load_Cycle_Count on the WD1600BEVT-80A23T0. It almost
reached 300 000 when I stopped it (299 252 to be precise) with
hdparm -B 255 /dev/sda
-B 254 didn't help, it just _ignored_ it.
I didn't have these panics anymore since upgrade. But also I didn't
connect to the mentioned AP.

Last one occured right after I disabled WiFi with Fn+F2.
And it does not occur now for a day, when I'm not connected to my friend's WiFi.
So the issue may be in the WiFi module and in the specific AP. There was a lot

If I hit down arrow when booting from LiveUSB and Plymouth shows the splash
among normal messages I can see 4
No value set for `/apps/netbook-launcher/favorites/favorites_list'
and 2
No value to set for key: `/apps/netbook-launcher/favorites/favorites_list'
messages.
The difference in the bug #729353 is that only some icons are not shown.
And I can't see any of them, just a transparent panel.
