I have absolutely the same symptoms being described here too. This has
started happening after a very recent update.

I can also confirm this regression. Sony A818 walkman worked perfectly
in Gutsy, but is not auto-mounting in Hardy. This is a shame, because
this is a drag-and-drop player, so is perfect for Linux.
