Could anyone help point a noob in the right direction? I'm trying to
install Timo's PPA, and am running Precise on a Lenovo X220.
I ran sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tjaalton/ppa and sudo apt-get update
But when I run sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel it tells me
that I already have
I agree that it isn't bluetooth, as I have kept it deactivated and am
still facing about one crash a day. So far I haven't found a way to
reliably reproduce the crash, but it occurs on about 5-10% of system
resumes from suspend mode. I will try to update my system BIOS to the
latest version to see

Eesh, I was messing up by installing the i386 instead of amd64.
Everything works fine now, upgrade was successful.

The freezes have begun to occur again. I am not able to close windows
or open a terminal. I switched to command line using ctrl+alt+f1 and
attempted to restart lightdm, but my system remained frozen.
I now believe it has to do with bluetooth as my system has been crash
free for the last week in
I updated pm-utils by upgrading apt-get packages, and have had no
freezes for 3 days now. I'd consider this issue closed.

Same issue here, Ubuntu 12.04 on a Thinkpad X220. After resuming from
suspend, the volume icon on the unity bar showed a dashed line (---),
and top informed me that gnome-setting-daemon was using up more than
100% of my cpu.

Here's what worked for me - after installing gpointing-device-settings,
I use the mouse and touchpad settings from the ubuntu system settings
and enabled two finger scrolling from there. These settings seems to
stay after boot.
