Public bug reported:
I have a kaby lake nuc (NUC7i5BNK) connected to a Samsung 4K tv over
hdmi. If i turn the TV off, when i switch it back on, the session is
killed and I'm sent back to the login screen.
Occurs on 17.10 and 18.04
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04
Package: mutter
I've had this issue on 3 different machines, several times a week.
Kernel 3.18 seemed to reduce how often it happened, but it still
happened.
3.19 seems to have fixed the issue for me, I’ve been running it all day
since rc1 and it has not happened yet.

Same issue for me here on 2 different Dell OptiPlex 9020 (Haswell) and a
Haswell Intel NUC. All recently upgraded to 14.10
It appears to be very intermittent, about once a week on each different
machine. Only seems to occur when left idle for some period of time, never when
I’m actually using
This seems to be working fine now, not sure what fix fixed it though
** Changed in: hdhomerun-config-gui (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed = Fix Released

http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=RuN5s9nw
It booted up to the ubuntu login screen fine, showing on both monitors.
As soon as i logged in the primary 30 went blank but the 20.1 was still
